| Decription: | π§ NOW HIRING: Construction SHEQ Manager π Location: Woodmead, Johannesburg Rβs highly negotiable depending on experience My client, a leader in the water, petrochemical, and power generation sectors, is seeking a highly experienced Construction SHEQ Manager to take full ownership of SHEQ compliance and implementation across national construction projects. ________________________________________ π Role Purpose Reporting to the National SHEQ Manager, this role focuses exclusively on the Construction division, ensuring compliance with OHSA and MHSA legislation, driving site-level SHEQ excellence, and supporting strategic oversight and continuous improvement at a national level. ________________________________________ π§ Key Responsibilities β’ Lead SHEQ activities across multiple construction sites nationwide. β’ Ensure compliance with OHSA, MHSA, and all applicable regulations. β’ Compile and maintain safety files and contractor packs for all projects. β’ Support and coordinate Safety Officers within the Construction division. β’ Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations. β’ Represent the organisation during client and external SHEQ audits. β’ Deliver monthly and ad-hoc SHEQ reports and ensure all corrective actions are tracked and closed. β’ Manage SHEQ input for tendering and project mobilization phases. β’ Engage with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on SHEQ matters. β’ Contribute to performance dashboards with leading indicators and trend analysis. ________________________________________ β Required Competencies & Experience β’ Minimum 8 yearsβ experience as a Safety Manager in a multi-site construction environment. β’ Practical experience working under both OHSA and MHSA frameworks. β’ Background in Mining, Petrochemical, Power Generation, or Water Treatment is advantageous. ________________________________________ π Minimum Qualifications β’ BTech / Advanced Diploma in Safety Management (NQF Level 7) β Essential β’ SACPCMP CHSM registration β Essential β’ COMSOC 1 & 2 β Essential ________________________________________ π Additional Requirements β’ Valid driverβs license and own transport (extensive travel required). β’ Familiarity with HSEC and Passport 360 systems. β’ Excellent communication, leadership, and administrative abilities. β’ High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure. ________________________________________ π§ How to Apply Send your application and updated MS Word CV to: Belinda at cvs4belinda@therecruiters.co.za π Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. |
